It could be said that the nuances of this is very complicated yet we must ask, the question,’ is equality so hard to comprehend? Many things were part of the lack of clarity. It could be said a poor response by the Federal government, in framing a more appropriate question FOR THE REFERENDUM may well have been helpful… Many things have contributed to this alarming and deeply painful outcome, these include poor communication it could appear a very entitled uninformed voting public etc..
These are just the immediate extraordinary concerns that contributed to and sabotaged the process of the ULURU statement not being endorsed or validated. There so many fundamental issues that need to be addressed, so many layers I will name but a few. Who has a voice and who does not is a key cornerstone of this grueling, and unjust outcome. Issues that are layered in conscious bias essentially, that are absolutely confronting yet so simple to rectify if people valued the other as self…. An overstatement maybe yet loving the other as self is a real thing if one is paying attention.
Australia and so many countries who have colonized controlled corrupted and had a genocidal approach to their take over bids.. This all needs to BE readdressed it is imperative we rethink what democracy actually is in the third decade of the women’s century.
