Yes, it has been a while since I have been in this space, yet living and witnessing the voices, of a global pandemic and the diabolical dying days of patriarchy, takes its toll on one’s body and soul.. It takes a great deal of resilience, that required realignment self-care and careful planning not to mention the tenacity of a lioness.

It becomes apparent the fatherless child the independent digital nomad, and those that have been traumatized by sexual abuse are having their words and actions heeded. It would be fair to say they are doing it for themselves and the next generation, in the third decade of the women’s century.
They are stepping up taking back their power, to move the world forward and examine issues we have ignored. They are speaking with clarity compassion empathy and intensity on beliefs and actions that matter. They are calling out those issues that no longer serve us nor we can NO LONGER look away from and ignore.

Anthony speaks with compassion empathy and a felt sense on how it was for him being bought up in the 60’s with a courageous woman positioned by patriarchal beliefs to bring her son up alone and how that was for her ‘lived experience”. It is quite clear being shamed into “widow’ hood in a patriarchal world as he says himself ‘took its toll on his mother! Anthony gives us a true account of his lived experience of a child born out of so-called “wedlock” Hmm wedlock again very ironic term. This is a very poignant reminder of how women have been positioned in the world that is toxic and wrong . It is deeply profound what he says about his mother and you may even weep I did !

FAWNING AND WANING TWO DIFFERENT JOURNEY’S
The patriarchy are not happy they are no longer being ‘fawned” to and realizing their power is waning and no longer ‘helpful” nor relevant. We have so moved on from the patriarchal belief of “father knows best”. As Hilary said, ‘some time ago in Beijing”, women’s rights are human rights. It would be fair to say the current Australian PM is floundering and possibly disingenuous in his understanding of human rights.

As we move into the third decade of the women’s century Australian’s can look back and be proud it voted in its first woman PM with Julia Gillard another child of the Evolution.
