THE HALLS OF VIOLENCE AND BEING COMPLICIT
Earlier this year staff who happen to all be women, who have walked and worked in Federal Parliament in Canberra.Australia, stepped up to have their truth heard. Women who had bravely stepped up to rightfully tell their truth and have it acknowledged. The truth telling is now in motion.
The truth of these vile acts, that has been inflicted on these women’s beings, their bodies their souls. These behaviours are NOT a new phenomena, it is a systematic behaviour that permeates the patriarchal system that is in its dying days. We all need to bear witness and respond not react to what has just occurred in Canberra, and as noted is a ‘culture of behaviour, not a one off incident.

A LACK OF INSIGHT NOR COMPASSION IS NOT AN ADEQUATE RESPONSE
It could be said the Australian Federal governments initial response, could be seen as the banality of evil being acted out at the expense of 51 per cent of the population. It could be said it was a completely inadequate response from Australia’s PM. The PM of Australia suggested in regard to getting the police to investigate the matter was not within the governments power. ‘Now, that is not something the government can force, we cannot do that.” SM.
It could be said, the statement above from the current PM ‘of Australia, is so galling and deeply confronting behaviour, an absolute ‘mis step .’ A reaction not helpful NOR a healthy respectful response when the ‘accusations came to light’ (Google it ya self it is part of a ABC interview. It is an early statement in regard to the governments reaction, to their role in acknowledging its protocols and best practice. It begged the question what they considered, their duty of care to employee’s well being in the “Halls of Power .”
The PM after clearly being advised that in fact that it would be best practice, too ‘get cracking; on some long overlooked due diligence in the ‘space of duty of care in Federal Parliament. It is well documented how unsafe women feel in that space.

The PM of Australia, may well have had a traumatic week, and given some empathy training could be pressed too acknowledge he should clean up his own HOUSE as a starting point. EVERY person who works and walks in any work place city region park, street etc, needs to feel safe in doing so.. Apparently they are looking into to it with several investigations being implemented in ‘the Halls of power”, More on that later..
FEIGNING NO POWER PATRIARCHAL DENIAL
The PM feigned having any power in this situation, deeply unsurprising yet a product of patriarchal denial. The silencing of women is a blatant conscious bias that was BORN perpetuated and closely shaped in the so-called ‘halls of power.” As we say at Vita patriarchy created war misogyny has always been the weapon.

This is an intergenerational human rights abuse, and we are still left with deep unhealed grief and ever present conscious bias. In another guileless attempt at not meaning too offend anyone he has extraordinarily, stepped deeper into his own lack of insight into how mysoginy is being played out in plain sight, on a daily basis.Yet the Law would tell us ‘ignorance is no excuse.
